Happy 70th Birthday Bob Dylan! My New Bob Dylan Single!

Hello all!

We have just released a Bob Dylan single for radio to go along with his 70th Birthday!! Right now it’s being played on Philly radio WXPN and other NJ stations. The song is “You Angel You” from Bob’s Planet Waves album. It' will be released for sale on a Bob Dylan compilation album this summer. WXPN is gifting it to him for his birthday and will be hosting an event at World Café Live with all the different artists on the album. They previously did a compilation for Bruce Springsteen and he ended up being the guest of honor at the concert. Let’s hope that Bob wants to come join us as well!

So I chose this song “You Angel You” because it really reminded me of the love I have for my daughter. I think it’s a beautiful song that can be dedicated to a child. So I did this one for my little girl Emily.

Thanks everyone!

Eryn Shewell Returns To New Orleans, Her Home Away From Home

(ASBURY PARK, NJ -- FEBRUARY 12, 2011) -- Eryn Shewell knows what it means to miss New Orleans. The award-winning artist blends rock, jazz, blues, and soul together in the same way the sounds can be heard throughout The Big Easy on any given night. She fell in love with the city when she first performed on a New Orleans stage a few years ago, and has returned for four tours of the city. This March, she'll return for a fifth.

"New Orleans is the greatest city in the world," said Shewell. "A home away from home. I never feel more like myself than when I'm down there. Beautiful culture and a beautiful city. I hope to someday move there."

Four dates have already scheduled and more are expected to be added shortly. Dates include:

March 2nd - Neutral Ground Coffee, 5110 Danneel Street
March 6th - Cafe Negril, 606 Frenchmen Street
March 7th - Cafe Negril, 606 Frenchmen Street
March 10th - Checkpoint Charlies, 501 Esplanade Avenue

In previous trips, Shewell has shared the stage with artists like Walter Wolfman Washington, Eric Lindell, The Soul Project, and Saaraba. She's also shared bills with Marcia Ball, Sonny Landreth, The Radiators, John Hammond, Johnny A, and Shannon McNally. An adopted member of the New Orleans music community, she lent a hand to the latest record by Walter Wolfman Washington during one trip.

Shewell's most recent release, 4th & Broadway, was released at the end of 2009. She has been nominated for several Asbury Music Awards within the past few years and took home the award for Top Female Vocalist in 2009.

Millenium Music Conference

My team and I attended the Millenium Music Conference this last weekend and had a great time. I had never been to a conference before so I was not sure what to expect. Pat and I were able to perform "Don't You See" before a singer/songwriter panel and we had great feedback on the song and of course Pat's guitar playing! I was able to sit down with several industry professionals and get their thoughts on my music, the feedback was all extremely positive - so it looks like we are doing all the right things. On Saturday night the band performed at Malone's along with some other very talented female singers. I was particularly impressed with Margot MacDonald. Everyone should check her out. All in all we had a very productive two days handing out many cd's to industry professionals and making some new friends. Many thanks to all the people who worked so hard to put on this conference!
